Wildlife Conservation

Some of the tea farms fall within the elephant corridors extending through the migratory route from Bhutan hills to the thick forests of Nepal. This causes animal-human conflict in these regions especially during the rice and maize harvesting seasons.

As a result of the organic status of the tea farms and the chemical free vegetation undergrowth, there has been a tremendous spurt in wildlife population. Spotted Deer, Indian Pandolin, Porcupines, Pythons, Indian cobras and Hornbill have all been spotted in these tea farms. The numbers of peacocks who now reside on the tea farms are seeing a spectacular growth.

The future of wildlife and the habitat that they depend on is being destroyed.
It is time to make nature and all the beauty living within it our priority.
